Forensic Gait Analysis International is a worldwide organization, formed by a group of experienced practitioners of forensic gait analysis. Its purpose is to bring together practitioners from around the world to form a community of practice that will:

• enhance professional practice through the sharing of knowledge and experience
• establish international standards of best practice and competency testing
• further strengthen the research underpinning the use of gait analysis as evidence
• signpost commissioning agencies to appropriately qualified practitioners
• signpost practitioners to suitably qualified verifiers
